Comerson, the very first child admitted to Three Angels orphanage when we reopened in 2012, is finally going home! This little boy was once a critically ill baby, severely malnourished and in need of immediate hospitalization. His story is chronicled in this past blog. Comerson is now a very vocal and active toddler. He has such a magnetic and warm personality that he has been nicknamed "The Mayor". He now gets to practice his charms on his mom, dad and three siblings.
Early on, we had been praying for a family for Comerson - one that would not only love him to pieces, but also effectively manage his particular health issues. Dr. Coby and Sue Allen came to us after a referral from one of our past adoptive families. When asked if they would be willing to adopt a child with special needs or medical issues, they figured that since Coby specialized in pediatric infectious diseases, this was probably where the Lord was leading them.
Comerson has been a huge part of our family. He will be dearly missed by the staff and little buddies at Angel House. Thankfully, the Allens have been able to visit Comerson as they travel to Haiti frequently serving with MyLIFESpeaks. And while visits are great, there is absolutely nothing like a family being united permanently. Thank you to all of the Orphan Care Sponsors that supported Comerson over the last couple of years. This joyful day would not be possible without you.
